School Transport parents will be confronted with a hefty cost

Save the School Transport RCT group, a FB account trying to inform and educate parents about what this council has done, cuts to school transport for your kids this September. Home to School Transport changes agreed, said a council spokesman notice not one councillor would put his/her name to this decision because they know it is another bad decision by this Labour-controlled council.
Just like cutting our wheely bin service and making residents pay more to get their general waste taken away, this decision to cut school transport is going to cost parents more whether you transport your kids in a car or on public transport you are paying out more.
Take a look at this partition below that is out it can explain better but this is coming to RCT and what your labour councillors in RCT voted for.
labour councillors in RCT voted for more congestion at peak times near schools, more pollution near schools, less space to drop off kids, and more bad parking around schools.
Make Public Transport Free for All School-Age Children
We have two boys that need to use public buses to get to their secondary schools, we are confronted with a hefty cost of £18 per week for each child. In a 39-week school year, this amounts to a sum of £702 per child, a hefty £1,404 in total each year, just so our children can receive education.
Our older son, blessed with sporting talent, secured an opportunity at a sports school, a situation that filled us with pride. However, this joy was short-lived as we had to come to grips with a painful reality: we are being penalised for our son’s achievement by the necessity of expensive daily bus commute for the boys.
According to statistics, many families across the UK face similar struggles, with parents having to shoulder significant transport costs simply to send their children to school- a situation that puts undue pressure on their financial statuses.
We are petitioning the government to make public transport free for all school-age children. Implementing this policy will ease financial burdens on families, and help ensure that all children, regardless of their area of residence or family income, have equal opportunities to attend their school of choice without incurring prohibitive transportation costs.
Let’s stand together for the future of our children! Sign this petition to make a difference in the lives of thousands of families struggling with school travel costs.
