Teacher pay settlement: Labour’s plans are unfunded
Responding to his contribution during the spokesperson’s questions to Labour’s Education Minister, Tom Giffard MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Education Minister, said:
“Labour’s teacher pay settlement is unfunded and their plans will fall upon councils across Wales to foot the bill.
“As councils are already struggling due to Labour’s cuts to the education budget, other services will end up being sacrificed for councils to meet Labour’s unfunded commitments.
“With education standards the lowest in the UK, taking money out of essential school services to fix Labour’s mess will only impact negatively on pupils across Wales.”
