Ongoing road works continue to cause mass disruption

Responding to the news that residents around the Heads of the Valleys road, where road works have been ongoing for years, have experienced extensive ongoing disruption, Natasha Asghar MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister, said:

“The Heads of the Valleys road improvements will hopefully deliver major benefits to the area once completed, but it’s imperative these works do not overrun as residents are continuing to face the brunt of this scheme.

“It is deeply concerning that residents are having to contend with damage to their homes, a fight for compensation and major disruption.

“The Labour Welsh Government must do all they can to ensure that the completion date is met to finally give some respite to struggling residents.”
