Pupils bringing weapons to school in Labour-run Wales

Responding to the news that teachers in Wales face pupil behaviour crisis and guidance issued by the Welsh Government that carrying a weapon no longer applies as a reportable reason for exclusion, Tom Giffard MS, Shadow Education Minister, said:

“This is a damning indictment of the Labour Government’s inability to properly support staff and pupils.

“Teachers as well as pupils must feel safe in an educational setting, the Labour Government need to take immediate action to tackle violence in our schools

“Labour’s record in Wales on education is a stark warning for the rest of the UK on what a Labour Government will look like in Westminster.”
