Labour won’t deliver shorter NHS waits, look at their record in Wales
Commenting on Labour’s promise to have patients seen within 18 weeks in five years, Sam Rowlands MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Health Minister said:
“Labour’s record in Wales, where they run the NHS, stands as a stark warning as to what a Labour Government would look like.
“In Wales, we have the longest waits for treatment in the UK, with over 20,000 patients still waiting over 96 weeks for treatment after 25 years of Labour failure.
“Unlike in Conservative-run England where waiting lists are falling, the Labour Welsh Government took us back to square one by refusing to create surgical hubs and diagnostic centres to bear down on long NHS waits and wasted funds on more politicians and 20mph speed limits.”
