Labour’s cuts to education forced schools to take drastic action
Responding to the news that schools in Wales are taking drastic action to offset the Labour Government’s budget cuts, with some considering cutting jobs, Tom Giffard MS, Shadow Education Minister, said:
“It is deeply concerning that schools are taking such drastic action due to Labour’s mismanagement of the education budget.
“The Labour Government have overseen a decline in standards over their 25 years in charge and for every £1.20 that Labour receive for education, they are only spending £1.05.
“Labour’s record in Wales on education is a stark warning for the rest of the UK on what a Labour Government will look like in Westminster. The Welsh Conservatives would ensure schools can deliver the standards of education that our children deserve and save Labour’s lost generation.”
