Investigation into Labour Minister must be quick and decisive
Commenting following his exchange with Mark Drakeford today at First Minister’s Questions regarding a row between a Labour Welsh Government minister and a Labour MP where she said that the former should consider resigning, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Andrew RT Davies MS said:
“There is clearly some difference between the minister and the MP for Gower over what took place and when, and people in Wales deserve to know the truth of the matter.
“We hope that the investigation will be thorough, but will not drag on and on without a clear result.
“Everyone who has felt the impact of these events will want to see this investigation concluded quickly and decisively.”
Labour MP for Gower, Tonia Antoniazzi, accused Dawn Bowden of a “cynical attempt to rewrite history” in a BBC interview where she defended her lack of involvement in the Welsh Rugby Union sexism scandal. The Labour first minister said Ms Bowden has requested the probe.
