RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN RHONDDA CYNON TAFF) (EXPERIMENTAL SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2021
Notice is hereby given that on the 25 February 2021 the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council made an order under Sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to experimentally for a period of not exceeding eighteen months: –
1. Introduce a 20mph speed limit on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1
This order shall be in operation from 10 March 2021
A copy of the relevant documents may be inspected online at www.rctcbc.gov.uk
The Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council shall be considering in due course whether the provisions of the order shall continue in force indefinitely. Objections to the proposal, together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent in writing to the Traffic Manager, Sardis House, Sardis Road, Pontypridd, CF37 1DU or by emailing [email protected] within six months from the 10 March 2021.
The Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council may provide for the suspension and modification of the order or part thereof, while it is in force if it appears that it is essential in the interest of the expedious convenient and safe movement of traffic or else the provision of suitable and adequate parking facilities in the highway or for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which any road affected by the order runs.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it had not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 10 March 2021 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
