Commenting on the figures published today (January 26) that show record numbers of people dying in Wales with Covid-19, Angela Burns MS – the Shadow Health and Social Care Minister – said:

“While these figures paint a depressing picture in Wales, but we must remember that each death is not just another point on a graph, but a person and so my condolences are very much with their families at this sad time.

“Yet the figures back up the Welsh Conservative call for the vaccination programme to be accelerated – especially in care homes – and for real-time vaccination stats to be published.”
