Business owners and shop workers are urged to be vigilant following reports that two men are trying to buy goods with fake money.
Over the past few days, two men purporting to be from Ireland have handed over fake Irish £20 notes to shop workers in Talbot Green and Treforest.
There have also been reports of fake money being used in Cynon.
Anybody who has information about who is responsible, or who may have been offered counterfeit money, should contact 101 and give ref: 213514.
