CYNON TRAIL, MOUNTAIN ASH TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE

RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

(CYNON TRAIL, MOUNTAIN ASH) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2019

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council on 7 August 2019 under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) which would have expired on 8 February 2020 has been continued in force under authority of the Minister for Economy and Transport, one of the Welsh Ministers in exercise of the powers contained in section 15(5) of the Act and shall be operative up to and including 8 August 2020

 

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding along that part of the Cynon Trail that commences approximately 56 metres west of Rocialle, Unit D, Cwm Cynon Industrial Park, Mountain Ash, CF45 4ER (Grid Reference ST05459824) and proceeds north west for approximately 600 metres to terminate 30 metres south of a footbridge that crosses Afon Cynon connecting to an area of open green space adjoining the railway line and Mountain Ash Train Station (Grid Reference ST05179874)

 

For the duration of the closure, the alternative route commenced approximately 56 metres west of Rocialle, Unit D, Cwm Cynon Industrial Park, Mountain Ash, CF45 4ER (Grid Reference ST05459824) and proceeds in a generally northerly direction for approximately 990 metres through Cwm Cynon Industrial Park, along Cardiff Road and then over a bridge crossing Afon Cynon into an area of open green space adjoining the railway line and Mountain Ash Train Station (Grid Reference ST05089895)
