Family pay tribute to Sandra Stroud
The family of the 76 year-old woman who tragically died after being in collision with a vehicle in Pontyclun on Monday (2 Dec) have paid tribute to her.
They said:
“On Monday, 2 December, we lost Sandra – lost seems such a small word yet the hollow that her passing has created is immeasurable. Sandra was a loving wife, mother and sister and dedicated her time to her family, she loved nothing more than to help others and was a part of many community groups, in particular, the Tyla Garw Craft Group, also known as the Lace Belles. We simply do not know how we will cope without her in our lives.”
Sandra Stroud died in hospital where she was taken with serious injuries, following a collision with a Mitsubushi ASX.
She was a pedestrian at the time of the collision which occurred at approximately 2.30pm on Cowbridge Road, Pontyclun, at its junction with Station Road.
Officers investigating the collision are continuing their appeal to anybody who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
They are also urging motorists who were nearby at the time to check dashcam footage.
