Lesley Griffiths AM Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs explains why the Car Park on top of the Rhigos Mountain is not for sale?
It would appear that there was full intention to dispose of the Craig Y Llyn Car Park, land on top of the Rhigos, it was removed from sale after the attempted disposal was publicised on AberdareOnline amongst the community most affected.
The ‘administrative error’ is a later concocted excuse for why it was advertised for sale in the first place; speculate that the real reason why this land was originally sliced into a saleable chunk was for a person or persons unknown to profit from a stage in the transfer from public ownership.
AberdareOnline was informed that the land was up for sale, almost everyone in Cynon Valley and Rhondda Valleys knows just how much the public values this car park.
Was this an administrative error or something else? Do we need to keep our eyes open for more administrative error when developments are planned in the area?
The Craig Y Llyn Car Park and the land that surrounds the car park is part of Hirwaun Common that should be protected perhaps Natural Resources Wales or Rhondda Cynon Taf Council can clarify?
