South Wales Police are appealing for information following an incident which occurred on 21st May 2019.
It is understood that a young cyclist was in collision with a vehicle as he cycled through Treorchy at approximately 7.15pm.
The 13-year-old boy made his way home after the incident but is currently receiving hospital treatment for a head injury.
The Information available to officers is limited however it is believed that a red vehicle could have been involved.
Officers are carrying out a number of enquiries throughout the area, including checking the availability of CCTV.
At the time of the incident, the boy was wearing a purple football jersey and was riding a black mountain bike.
