THE RHONDDA CYNON TAF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (RHOS SQUARE) COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2019 COMPULSORY PURCHASE OF LAND IN MOUNTAIN ASH Notice is hereby given that the Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council has made The Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council (Rhos Square) Compulsory Purchase Order 2019 under section 226 (1) (a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. It is about to submit this order to The Welsh Ministers for confirmation and, if confirmed, the order will authorise Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council to purchase compulsorily the land described below for the purpose of facilitating the carrying out of development/re-development or improvement on or in relation to the land for the promotion or improvement of the economic and social well-being of the acquiring authority’s area comprising the redevelopment of Rhos Square to provide improvements to the public realm including additional car parking. A copy of the order and of the accompanying map may be seen at all reasonable hours at Mountain Ash Library, Knight Street, Mountain Ash CF45 3EY and Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, The Pavilions, Cambrian Park, Clydach Vale CF40 2XX. Any objection to the order must be made in writing to The Welsh Ministers at The Planning Inspectorate, Government Buildings, Cathays Park CF10 3NQ before 23rd June 2019 and should state the title of the order, the grounds of objection and the objector’s address and interests in the land. All interests in 282.6 square metres of derelict land known as 41, 43 and 45 Oxford Street adjoining the north west boundary of Rhos Square and located opposite 40 Oxford Street and Bruce Street all at Oxford Street, Mountain Ash.
