NATIONAL THEATER WALES AND CREATE Quarantine NEW SHOW AND IDENTITY IN AUDIT multilingualism
AN ENGLISH LANGUAGE LESSONS inspired by THEATRIGRWYDD, AND BY TALKS WITH migrants IN WALES AND ACROSS THE UK
National Theater Wales and Quarantine work together for the first time to stage a brand new show called English, in June 2018 the Cardiff Dance House, as part of the Festival of the Voice in 2018.
An English invites her audience into a conversation with the performer Jonny Cotsen
(Louder Is Not Always Clearer), inspired by the language lessons and conversations with migrants in Wales and across the UK with English, whether for business, pleasure, study or to survive. Joyful event, subtle, tantalizing, the English language will ask how we formulate all of us and what is happening to our sense of ourselves when we do not really know how to say who we are.
The A to Z of this lively language and identity – made in Wales, but with a global perspective – analyze pop songs, grammar torn into pieces and provides a platform for all languages in the room.
