Celtic Manor Gym Challenge in Aid of RNIB Cymru
Howard Jones who lives in Newport and is registered blind is a self-employed Chartered Certified Accountant and owns Howard Jones Accountancy which operates from the Old Provisions Market in Newport, is organising a 1,000 or a 500 rep gym challenge at the Forum Health Club on Saturday May 13 2017 at 2pm.
Participants will be sponsored with all donations going to RNIB Cymru. At the end of the session each participant will get a certificate from the personal trainer to confirm that they have successfully completed all the reps in their category to enable them to collect their sponsorship money to give to RNIB Cymru.
“I’m keen on physical fitness and I’m a member of the Health Club at Celtic Manor Resort”, said Howard. There will be ten exercises that will need to be completed either 100 or 50 times each; depending upon which category a participant has chosen. It’s not necessary to complete all of the reps for each individual exercise together; they can be split to meet the needs of the participant. Participants will mark their own completed reps on a board.
“The exercises will consist of a mixture of cardio and strength exercises to be chosen by the personal trainer allocated to the group on the day. There will be a time limit of 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete all the exercises and we hope that we’ll have lots of participants to make it a bit more competitive and raise as much as possible for RNIB Cymru”.
