Adult Learners’ Week, 19-25 June 2017,
Adult Learner’s Week is an annual campaign which celebrates and promotes adult learning opportunities. It is intended to signpost the huge variety of courses available to the adult learner, and to prompt adults across the country into returning to learning. Each year, over 10,000 adults in Wales participate in Adult Learners’ Week activities. This is achieved by working with a host of private and public organisations on the promotion of free taster events, local outreach activities and short courses.
Adult Learners’ Week will be held during 19-25th June this year. 2017 is its 26th year, and it is supported by Welsh Government.
The Learning and Work institute has launched a call for entries to the Inspire! Awards – with categories for individuals, community groups and employers. The deadline is 3 March 2017
It would be great if you could think about supporting Adult Learners’ Week in Wales by helping to promote the Inspire! Awards through signing up to our online Thunderclap campaign.
Thunderclap is a social media tool used to announce a key message from many Twitter and Facebook accounts at the same time. It’s a new way of spreading the message to more people quickly and easily.
The message that will be sent out, is : “2 weeks to go until the Inspire! nominations closing date. Nominate inspirational learners, employers & projects. http://thndr.me/UkUNZT”
There are two versions, one English, one Welsh – please sign up to both if you can!
