Mountain Ash Southern Cross Valley Link only

Mountain Ash Southern Cross Valley Link only

Looking at the plans that have been placed on Twitter

New plans and a image looks like taken impression from satellite, Tweeted by the council leader Andrew Morgan, show draft plans for the major project which are subject to change following a public consultation.

As it stands the planners have given the imprecation there will be no large roundabouts at either end of the new link, but this is subject to change following the public consultations will take place at Penrhiwceiber Institute on Wednesday, November 16, and at Mountain Ash Day Centre on Friday, November 18, with both events running from noon until 7pm.

Regular followers of AberdareOnline will know we have been lobbying for this highway improvement on the A4059 for many years for the Southern Cross Valley Link to be constructed as far back as Mid Glamorgan County Council were responsible for highways.

County Councillor Bryan Fitzgerald who was chair of highways at the time inform me many times how a new roundabout would be constructed north of the Mountain Ash Bridge part of the Northern Cross Valley Link road. No draft plans for the Northern Cross Valley Link road something that is needed with all the potential housing development proposed in Cynon Valley north of Mountain Ash.
