Anti-social behaviour in the Treorchy and Trehebert area has already seen a reduction
A special operation to tackle anti-social behaviour in the Treorchy and Trehebert area has already seen a reduction in offences.
The police-led operation is using specialist departments such as the mounted section and partner agencies in a multi-agency approach to combat the issues.
In the first week of the operation anti-social behaviour fell from 10 incidents the week before to just three.
Inspector Dave Gordon, said: “Anti-social behaviour can have an impact on the local community and we are taking a strong line on dealing with it.
“We are pleased that anti-social behaviour has already noticeably fallen in the area, however the focus will be maintained and positive action will be taken against offenders.”
