Robbery in Maesgwyn, Cwmdare.
Detectives in Merthyr are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Maesgwyn, Cwmdare.
Incident occurred between 5.40pm and 8.15pm on Tuesday 9th February.
The occupant of the house, a 86 year old lady, answered a knock on her front door and two people forced their way inside. One of them demanded cash from the lady.
The suspects made off from the scene on foot with a quantity of cash and a mobile phone. It is not known in what direction they went.
The suspects are both believed to be male. One man is thought to be white, in his 20s, of average build and clean shaven. He was wearing a light grey zip up hooded fleece with strings on the hood and light grey canvas workmen’s gloves with blue plastic on the underside of the fingers. The second suspect is described as being around 14 years of age, of slim build and around 5’10-5’11. He was wearing a black hooded tracksuit style top with black trousers and black gloves.
