LARGE WAVES EXPECTED TO HIT WELSH COAST
Natural Resources Wales is expecting large waves to hit the Welsh coast over the next few days due to strong coastal winds.
People in coastal areas, especially in Cardigan Bay, are advised to be alert for flooding and to be prepared.
The threat is due to a combination of high tides and a strong wind.
Scott Squires from Natural Resources Wales, said: “We’re asking people to take great care by the coast.
“A fairly high Spring tide will be whipped up by strong winds and some large waves could splash over sea defences.”
Meanwhile, heavy and persistent rain is expected to affect Wales on Saturday and Sunday (14/15 November), particularly in the North.
When forecasts become more definite tomorrow (13 November), NRW will provide more information and put flood risk management procedures in place for affected areas if required.
Natural Resources Wales will issue Flood Alerts and Warnings if rivers reach trigger levels.
People travelling over the next three days are advised to take extra care and allow extra time for their journey as driving conditions may be hazardous.
People are advised to keep an eye on weather reports and local news for details of any disruption in their area.

Organisers of outdoor events are also advised to check the Met Office website for the most up-to-date forecasts.
