Mountain Ash Comp School Shakespeare Production
On November 5th 2015, 29 of our extremely talented pupils from across all Key Stages took to the stage at the Coliseum in Aberdare, to perform a 30 minute production of A Mid Summer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare.
The pupils performed to a large audience of 400+ and thoroughly enjoyed the experience from beginning to end. The parents, guardians and supporters of the school present on the evening passed many positive comments on the high standard of work performed on the professional stage and the children’s enthusiasm for this Shakespearean play.
“I am so very proud of our pupils for many reasons. Once our pupils set their minds on something, their dedication is second to none. Every single performer tonight was outstanding and I feel very privileged to work with such talented young people. Well done to everyone – this experience will stay with you for a life time.”

“The performance of all the cast was simply outstanding and the production as a whole was spectacular. Everyone did the school proud on the night. I am looking forward to the next production!”

“This night showed our school at its very best. I was humbled to see our students performing Shakespeare in front of a big Coliseum audience, and boy did they perform!! They owned the stage! I came away thinking, this is what education is about, this is what transforms lives.
I need to thank the cast, parents, students and staff who came to support and above all our Artistic Director Mrs Sarah Allen for her guidance and Mr Steve Powell for his support with this project.”
