South Wales Police trying to piece together the final movements of a Pontypridd man found dead in the River Taff.

We are trying to piece together the final movements of a Pontypridd man found dead in the River Taff.

Marcin Kaminski, aged 26, was discovered in the River Taff on Monday 31st August.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses who may have seen Mr Kaminski to come forward.

He is known to have been at both Argos and Sainsbury’s in Pontypridd between 4.30pm and 5pm on Saturday 22nd August. He was last heard from at around midnight on the 22nd at Laura Street, Treforest. It is unclear on what clothing he may have been wearing at the time he went missing, however it is believed he was wearing a pair of light blue Adidas trainers.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Lewis said: “There is not necessarily anything sinister which has happened to Mr Kaminski but we do need to piece together his movements in the days before he was found and we would appeal to anyone who may have seen him, or has any information, to contact us.

“At this stage his death is not being treated as suspicious, it is an unexplained death. We are keeping an open mind until more details are known of his movements during the 9 days before his body was found in the river.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1500317677.
