University taster experience for care-leavers through free residential summer school at Cardiff University,
The Confident Futures School is being hosted by Cardiff University from the 11th to the 12th July 2017.
Aimed at young learners, especially those between 14 and 19 from care backgrounds or leaving care, it aims to raise aspirations and provide and experience of university life. Students will be able to stay with current undergraduates in student flats, have academic taster sessions with experts in their chosen fields and get advice on personal statement writing and mock interviews.
There are a limited number of spaces available on the summer school, but no grade requirements or restrictions placed on attendance.
