Assembly Member has 2 addresses 1 in Llanelli and another in Barry perhaps he has 2 seats?

I wish to bring to your attention a matter causing considerable concern that needs to be resolved.

The Assembly Member for Llanelli, Lee Waters, gave as his address for the May 2016 Assembly elections 25 New Zealand Street, Llanelli. It is widely believed that Mr Waters did not live at this address. According to the Land Registry this property is owned by someone other than Mr Waters and his wife.

That said, Mr Waters appears on the electoral register for that address . . . but he also appears on the elector register for an address in Barry, where it widely believed that he and his family actually reside. Appearing on two electoral registers is not unusual, for students, but may need to be explained when it’s a politician.

Where Mr Waters calls home goes beyond mere curiosity, for he won the Llanelli seat last year by a majority of just 382 votes. It’s reasonable to assume that if Mr Waters did not live in Llanelli, and if that fact had been widely known, then he might not have been elected. But as he was elected, then if he did not live at 25 New Zealand Street, a deception was practiced upon the electorate.

Further, if Lee Waters was not living in Llanelli, but still, somehow, appeared on the local electoral register, then there might have been collusion at a local level in the deception. This explains why a copy of this letter is being sent to the Public Service Ombudsman for Wales.

Where Lee Waters lived at the time of the Assembly elections last year needs to be established beyond doubt. If we learn that he was not living at the Llanelli address given, then, presumably, action against Mr Waters will result.

This letter will be widely circulated to ensure that a serious matter of public interest is in the public domain.
