Leisure Lifestyle has announced a week of offers and challenges to help residents get active as part of National Fitness Day 2026.
Taking place on Wednesday 16th September, National Fitness Day is an annual campaign led by ukactive which celebrates the positive impact physical activity can have on our health and wellbeing.
This year’s theme, Powered by You, highlights how everyone can play a part and encourages people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to find ways to be active that work for them.
Bring a friend for free
From Monday 14th to Sunday 20th September, Leisure Lifestyle Direct Debit and Cash Monthly members can bring a friend for FREE at fitness suite and public swim sessions across all our leisure centres.
£99 Kids Fit Annual Membership
A Kids Fit Annual Membership will also be available for £99 throughout the week across all our leisure centres, giving young people the opportunity to stay active across the year.
Welsh Three Peaks Challenge
From Monday 14th to Sunday 20th September, customers can take on the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge at Caerphilly, Heolddu, Newbridge and Risca leisure centres.
Participants will be challenged to complete 11,250 steps as quickly as possible, representing the combined ascent of Yr Wyddfa, Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan. The fastest male and female participants at each centre will receive a National Fitness Day water bottle and sports cap.
Cllr Chris Morgan, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “National Fitness Day is a fantastic opportunity to bring people together and celebrate the benefits of being active. We hope these special offers encourage people to get active with friends and family throughout the week and build healthy habits for the future.”
The offers and challenge support Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Sport and Active Recreation Strategy 2019-2029, which aims to encourage more residents to become active and lead healthier lifestyles.
*Kids Fit Annual Memberships must be paid in full and are non-refundable.
