Pontypridd, Cynon Merthyr Candidates and Branch Manger alongside Dan Thomas
Nigel Farage and Dan Thomas visited Merthyr this week, meeting residents and Reform supporters as the party continues to grow its presence ahead of the Senedd election.
During the visit, Farage and Thomas spoke with locals and campaigners before stopping for a pint at a local pub, where conversations continued in a relaxed setting.
The visit also included the lead Senedd candidate Jason O’Connell.
Local campaigners said the strong response reflects growing momentum for Reform across the town.
Welsh Reform Leader Dan Thomas said:
“Everywhere we went in Merthyr the response was fantastic. I genuinely think this is one of the best receptions we’ve had anywhere in the country. People here want to be heard and they want change.”
A joint statement from the Reform candidates for Pontypridd, Cynon and Merthyr said:
“It was a privilege to welcome Nigel and Dan to Merthyr. The response from local people was incredible and shows the growing support for Reform across the town. We’re proud of the team we’re building here and this visit has given everyone a real boost.”
Jason O’Connell said:
“Don’t believe all the negative talk online. The turquoise tide is rising, talking to people across Merthyr today showed just how much energy there is for a Reform Government in Wales.”
