Following a number of Labour MSs having written criticising the Prime Minister and calling for further devolution, the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister weighed in on the latest episode of Labour infighting by stating that the UK Government was “delivering for Wales”.
The Welsh Conservatives have made it clear that they are against more powers being devolved to the Senedd, with Darren Millar calling out the Welsh Labour Government for “making excuses” for Wales’ ‘crisis in our NHS, poor standards in our schools and spiralling unemployment problem’.
Commenting, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Darren Millar MS said:
“One Labour Government damaging Wales was bad enough, now we have two and things are twice as bad.
“After two damaging budgets, we now have Welsh Government Ministers focused on infighting about Senedd powers instead of fixing the everyday problems people in Wales are facing.
“The Senedd doesn’t need more powers. What we need is a Government that accepts responsibility, stops making excuses, and uses the extensive powers already available to get to grips with the crisis in our NHS, address the poor standards in our schools, and solve Wales’ spiralling unemployment problem.
“Only a Welsh Conservative Government will fix Wales.”
