South Wales Police were called just after 12.10 pm this afternoon with a report of a disturbance between two men on Church Street, Pontypridd.
Both men are known to each other; one man sustained a single stab wound and has been taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life changing or life threatening.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievously body harm with intent and is currently in police custody.
