The lights are on, but there’s no one there?
Responding to reports that the First Minister is urging more Welsh Government staff to stop working from home and return to the office.
Welsh Conservative Leader Darren Millar MS said:
“Welsh Labour has created this problem with its lax attitude to public money and poor leadership on the issue.
“Labour MSs are regularly working from their sofas and don’t always attend the Senedd themselves so it’s no wonder Welsh Government staff don’t listen to them.
“Labour’s empty government offices are now costing Welsh taxpayers millions that could be invested in our schools and hospitals instead.
“Back in March I pledged that a Welsh Conservative Government would end unnecessary remote working, and get people off their settees and back into their offices if we enter government next May. I stand by that promise.”
