Greetings from the Save the School Transport RCT group
Due to the school transport changing September 2025. We as a campaign will be arranging the following;
On Tuesday 9th September 2025, we have asked all students in RCT and surrounding countys, to leave their homes at 8am to travel to their place of education.
This will impact on some students attending late to lessons. Some will be arriving by different modes of transport.
This is for THIS DAY ONLY to demonstrate the impact it will have on yourself, on all students, on other public members trying to travel to where they need to be.
It will be up to the parent or guardian if the student is to take part.
We want all students to arrive to their lessons safely and efficiently everyday. By demonstrating altogether, this would be a prime example from the outcome of the decision made by RCT and the Welsh Government not wanting to make to a childs education accessible without
A family worrying about affording transport.
Not worrying if the student has arrived to their place of education, with no harm.
For a student to feel safe, without stress.
Not to become ill from walking in wet or cold weather.
For their attendance to remain as a high standard. Their future attending a place of education.
This generation are our future ministers, accountants, teachers, electricians, data analyst etc. Without this access to transport these students grades will be affected.
We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to take part. To experience some of the routes for yourselves.
