Aberaman is a proud and resilient community with a rich history of civic engagement and community spirit. Yet today, while nearby communities like Penywaun, Abercynon, Penrhiwceiber, and Hirwaun benefit from thriving community centres, drop-in advice sessions, wellbeing hubs, and dedicated support services, Aberaman is being left behind.
Despite the loss of the historic Aberaman Hall, no replacement has been delivered. Residents lack access to rooms for local groups, Citizens Advice drop-ins, digital support, and many other essential community services that are commonplace elsewhere in Cynon Valley.
