Support Hub at @Aberfan & Merthyr Vale Community Centre
We have staff based at the café today until 6pm offering advice and support. This advice includes, but is not limit to:
• Reporting issues to the emergency response team
• Supporting vulnerable people in the community
• Supporting people with WG emergency funding applications
FREE Bulky Item collections
We’re offering FREE bulky item collections for those affected by flooding. Please call 01685 725000 to arrange yours. Please let the call operator know that you have been affected by flooding so your call can be prioritised.
Sandbags
We have a limited supply of sandbags and these will be prioritised for critical areas.
If your home or business is not at immediate risk of flooding, please protect your property by purchasing sandbags from your local builder’s merchants.
If you received sandbags to help with the flooding during the weekend, you can either keep them or they can be collected by the council. To arrange collection, please call 01685 725000
