I think Chris Bryant and Buffy Williams need to come to Ferndale. It was chaos in Ferndale at 8:25 a.m. this morning.
Have your say on the proposed walking and cycling route for Ferndale
I waited for the lights to change to green opposite the Co-op. When they did, cars were waiting in the crossing area to go down the valley. My schoolchildren and I needed to walk around (dodge them) them to cross the road. At least the up-valley traffic adhered to driving rules. The volume of traffic both ways was crazy. It’s a good example of an accident waiting to happen.
2 million for walking and cycling paths for people who would already be doing it
We have food banks and kids without any youth clubs and a football pitch that’s locked up 24/7 (Ferndale)
Priorities, please !!!!

Responding to a report that highlights the Welsh Labour Government spent £218m to get more people walking and cycling but it’s not working, Natasha Asghar MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister, said:
“This report highlights the failure of Labour’s active travel strategy.
“Clearly Labour’s current approach to active travel is not working, they cannot continue to waste hundreds of millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money on the scheme without any significant change in people’s habits.
“Instead of forcing people out of their cars for impractical journeys, like they have attempted to do with their 20mph speed limit policy, Labour must encourage people to walk and cycle manageable and safe routes.”
