FM’s deleted messages relate to education decision-making
Responding to his contribution during Spokesperson’s Questions to the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Tom Giffard MS, Shadow Education Minister, said:
“Its an issue that won’t go away, the First Minister has not been sufficiently forthcoming with the evidence presented to the Covid Inquiry,
“The deleted messages in question appear to relate directly to exam preparations and predicted grades, our schools are still dealing with the impact of decisions made during this period, therefore it is relevant to understand these decisions and how they were made at the time.
“I asked if the Cabinet Secretary would undertake a review into the information submitted to the Covid inquiry for the upcoming education module. Unfortunately, the Cabinet Secretary refused to commit to such a review.”
