25 years of devolution; A missed opportunity
Marking 25 years of devolution to Wales, Andrew RT Davies MS, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said:
“Devolution to Wales has sadly been a missed opportunity.
“The Senedd has the powers to improve people’s lives, but too often is focused on nation building and now is set on creating even more politicians, when what Wales needs is more doctors, nurses and teachers.
“Unless the Senedd focuses on the issues that matter to people, instead of always pushing for more powers and more politicians, it will not be able to grow turnout and maintain a real mandate.”
