Stop Council Tax Rises

Stop Council Tax Rises

Last week, the TPA published the 16th edition of our Town Hall Rich List, detailing all council employees with total remuneration over £100,000 in 2021-22. Our Rich List has become a massive hit with the media, politicians, and the public alike. It’s the only research of its kind that exposes the princely pay packets collected by council kingpins.

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council Chris Bradshaw Chief Executive Salary £57,000 Pension £33,000 Total 190,000

With council tax and the cost of living soaring for Brits across the country, our Rich List could not have been more timely. Our findings showed at least 2,759 local authority employees received more than £100,000. 721 of them received over £150,000!

The findings were covered across the national press, on the front pages of newspapers and with hundreds of local stories from communities with highly-paid bosses paying huge council tax bills.

Our campaign to stop council tax rises continues to pick up steam, with tens of thousands more supporters rowing in to add their names to the petition. If you are one of them, welcome aboard!

But the fight to keep rates down for residents continues! We need you to keep sharing our petition with your friends and family today – the more people who stand with us, the more we can push back against these punishing rises.

As always, we rely entirely on your support to stand up for taxpayers and expose waste in our local authorities. Any additional support you can offer would be incredibly appreciated:
