Work begins to reopen Abernant to Cwmbach Public Right of Way

Works will shortly begin to replace the damaged culvert at Blaenant y Groes, which has caused the footpath between #Cwmbach and #Abernant to to remain closed to ensure safety.
The existing culvert was removed last weekend by a specialist contractor, due to the presence of Japanese Knotweed.
The contractor for the main scheme, Hammonds (ECS) Ltd, will begin work in the week commencing Monday, August 17 – lasting approximately six weeks.
The scheme will include construction work, renewal of the pipe through the culvert and repairs to a scour hole.
Once complete, the work will allow the footpath to reopen.

Does anyone know who was the  “specialist contractor “ who removed the Japanese knotweed?

We have been informed apparently someone has dumped a load of earth next to the footpath near the Cwmbach tunnel anyone know is this part of the contract?
