(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along A4059 Cwmbach Roundabout to Gasworks / ASDA Roundabout
The restriction is necessary to enable works to be carried out on or near the road
The Order is expected to be in operation from 12th March 2018 to 18th March 2018 or until the works are completed.
The existing access for pedestrians will be maintained
Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and school buses
During the period of the closure the alternative route for vehicles is as follows:
From the eastern side of the closure, proceed via Canal Road, Cwmbach Road, Abernant Road, Commercial Street Roundabout to Tinney’s Corner Roundabout, Tinney’s Corner Roundabout to Gasworks / ASDA roundabout to the western side of the closure.
For vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, reverse the directions given above.
For vehicles exceeding 12’0” – From the eastern side of the closure, proceed via Canal Road, Cwmbach Road, Abernant Road, Wellington Street, Meirion Street Roundabout to Depot Road Roundabout, Depot Road Roundabout to Commercial Street Roundabout, Commercial Street Roundabout to Tinney’s Corner Roundabout, Tinney’s Corner Roundabout to Gasworks / ASDA Roundabout to the western side of the closure
For vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, reverse the directions given above.
