South Wales Police and JSEOD (Joint Service Explosive Ordnance Disposal) have carried out a controlled explosion at around 12.45 pm today following the discovery of non-suspicious, but potentially hazardous chemicals at Y Pant Comprehensive, Talbot Green
In the interests of safety, the chemicals were moved to waste ground near to Ysgol Gynradd Gymunedol, Miskin, where a cordon has been put in place as a precautionary measure.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and there is no risk to the public.
