Education secretary warned of the dangers of “exaggerating division”
Responding to the Education Secretary’s speech at Cardiff University today, Shadow Education Secretary, Darren Millar, has warned of the danger of “exaggerating” a sense of crisis and division in Welsh society.He said:
“Exaggerating a sense of crisis and division will do nothing to address the concerns Kirsty Williams is raising.
“There are some nuggets of wisdom in this speech, and few would argue that the gap between campus and community has widened over the course of a generation.
“However, the suggestion that Wales’ decision to leave the EU has somehow placed education, civil rights or feminism under threat is absolute nonsense.
