Smoke and mirrors.

A whisper has come my way. I'm sure it can't be true.
The rumour is that the swimming pool is be extended into a larger building incorporating a sports centre. The Sobell Centre is be demolished and the girls school is to be moved to a new building on the site of the Sobell Centre. It sounds ridiculous but is it?
Can anyone dig around and find out?

Yes it would be nice to have a fully modern pool and sport center but after all the time and money spent on the pool getting up to what we were told would be an acceptable condition it makes perfect sense that the powers that be put in place a plan to see it torn apart AGAIN.
What a bunch of wasters!.
Cant see that as they'd need more room for a comprehensive school than just the current Sobell Centre building. Where would they build onto? The sports fields, all weather pitch and that new skatepark would all be affected.
Well I work for Leisure Services, we run the leisure/sports centres and swimming pools, and I haven't heard of any such plans.
