NHS

I wish someone could tell why so many brave people gave up their lives in two World Wars.
The conflicts were supposed to create a better, freer and more democratic way of life.
It breaks my heart, and turns my stomach when I read of things such as this as it should not take any form of newspaper revelation for us to be able to ensure the basic Christian essential desire to care for each other.
Stafford Hospital scandal: deaths force NHS reforms
Sweeping reforms of the National Health Service will be demanded by a public inquiry into one of the worst scandals in NHS history.

The Salford affair has been going on for a number of years. I am not here to be Anne Clywd MP specific during her time of grief, yet she and all other MPs had ample time and opportunity to voice concerns over Salford, and other regularly reported failings in the NHS, but chose not to do so. Ironically Anne Clywld, fell, in part, victim to her own complacency.
There are hundreds of people out there, my self included, who have given input to the Salford enquiry in one way or another, which has eventually brought the publication of the events there into the public domain.
Many of us had no actual personal involvement in the horrific happenings there....just a genuine heartfelt Christian belief in improving things in our NHS for the benefit of those vulnerable patients and NHS patients in general..............no more...no less!
We all need to be ever diligent, as if you let these people who are running things get away with an inch, they will inevitably take the proverbial mile, and next thing, as has happened in Salford, and with Ms Clwyd ..they will take a life!
The NHS should never have become the hiding hole for the cover ups of the negligent and the incompetent. The NHS was, at its conception, a beacon for the world as to how a civilised nation cares for its sick and vulnerable, a guiding light, which has only recently been emulate b other countries, of what mankind can achieve when working at his best for the common interest.
The sad fact is that in this day and age the principle has become one of self interest before the common interest, with MPs and others far too busy defrauding expenses etc, to give the proper attention to the needs of the nation!
That is a clear recipe for social collapse.
