Mining/Family History

My Grandfather and great grandfather lived in Aberaman, 26 North View Terrace. I am trying to find out more about their lives both in the village and with the mine. My Great grandfather, Frederick Thomas Hayes according to the 1911 census was a colliery stoker, my grandfather Montague Hayes was a pit boy and a collier. Is there any way of gaining more information about the roles or the Hayes family in Aberaman from 1911-about 1926 as that is when I beleive they moved to Oxford during or around the time of the general strike.

Thanks in advance
Paul
