Boxing & Rugby

What a great achievement by Joe Kalzaghi on the week end in defeating the great fighter Roy Jones Junior and in his own backyard too.

I think most people were of the opinion that Joe had bitten off a bit too much to chew this time but he's proved them all wrong including myself.

He's proved to be Wales's most successful boxer ever with a 100% record and we have had some great fighters over the years.

The Welsh rugby team did themselves proud too in getting within 5 points of world champions South Africa and they are looking good for this coming 6 nations tournament.

There are a couple of exciting new players in the squad which shows Wales has depth, I think one of the most pleasing aspects was the fitness of the team which stood out prominently, I can't wait for next weekend's clash with the "All Blacks"

I was there for the last time they beat them way back in 1953, it's about time we did it again.

Go get em boys.

Cymro.

Yes, Cymro, I was at the Cardiff game. I also remember well the 6-3 score with Wales v SA. Great games.
Here's hoping that the present Welsh team have the belief to beat NZ today.

Well! Can Wales stop the Irish getting the Grandslam this coming week - end and just maybe win the championship themselves ? I believe they can, but they will have to be at their very best to beat this strong Irish side, let alone by 13 points or more to achieve that.

I bet the atmosphere in Wales is already building for this most important game of the 2009 season.

I will be watching on T V at 2 a. m. and jumping for joy if they can manage it.

Don't take the Italian game last week as any yardstick as to how good they are as it was one of the worst games of rugby I have seen in years. But with the regular players back in the side this week end they will be a totally different kettle of fish to fry for sure.

Go get em boys.
