Improving the cycle path.
They are laying a new footpath, removing silt and replacing gabians.
Fair do's that pathway looks ok now but the council have still left the part under the railway bridge which regularly floods. Therefore, there are many occasions when the shortcut route to the Ynys is inaccessible. By the way, what have they done to part of the Werfa pathway from Cwmbach to Abernant? There were workmen there last week who started to put down chippings etc where it was full of floodwater and mud but it's just been left and by all accounts the 'job' is finished. It looks more of an eyesore now than it did previously!

The path under the railway has a pump fitted and should be checked on a regular. It may be a small raised platform is installed just to cope in really wet conditions
The footpath under the railway bridge fortunately I don’t have to use this path often unlike some people who use it daily
As you as you say Russell a small raised platform would help if its left alone and not vandalized.
Not been over that area for quite some time it is much improved overall especially the stepping stones along the canal pathway where the water used to pond in bad weather welldone RTC
