Carmarthenshire County Council are forcing through pay cuts on it's employees. The Labour Party released a statement saying they are "dismayed at the reports we have been receiving at these swingeing cuts being forced on lower paid workers. I am determined to see that team Carmarthenshire does all it can to give support to Council staff".
But...
The Labour Party in Carmarthenshire sit on every executive board of the council. They agreed the cut in workers pay. Their leader Cllr Kevin Madge (Garnant), Cllr Hugh Evans (Ammanford), and Cllr PEM Hughes (Burry Port), all voted in favour of wage cuts for the lowest paid council staff.
