Gas escape

Has anyone else noticed there is still a destinct smell of gas when driving up/down the stretch of New Road/Canal Road. in between nearer to the A470 end of the road & quite a bit before Mountain Ash? I had thought that this problem was supposed to have been repaired ? Anyone got any ideas?

This has been a big problem for years you would think gas supplier would replace the pipeline at its enter length from Mountaim Ash to Cwmbach instead of constant repairs that end up with a leak at the next weakest point
