Jason O’Connell MS has criticised the Welsh Government after the Cabinet Minister for Enterprise, Connectivity and Energy failed to answer direct questions on nuclear energy during a Senedd debate.
Mr O’Connell challenged Adam Price MS to clarify whether he still believes nuclear power is “the wrong answer for Wales” and how opposing nuclear energy helps tackle high energy bills, improve energy security, and attract investment. The question went unanswered.
Jason O’Connell MS said:
“Welsh households are being hammered by rising energy bills, yet Plaid Cymru continues to put ideology ahead of affordability and energy security.”
“I asked the Minister a straightforward question about his position on nuclear energy, and he failed to answer it.”
“The SMR project at Wylfa has the potential to create jobs, power thousands of homes and strengthen Wales’s energy security. Where governments back projects like this, they will have our support.”
